Dale Eising / Larry Johnson
Superintendent?
“Yeah, if you people out there don’t keep your mouth shut about our principal – Mr. Johnson – somebody other than you is gonna’ be owning that farm, because we will sue you for everything you have. Now if you can’t stop spreading rumors, then just keep you mouth shut.”
This is the only response received by a Marion resident after he requested the Marion Public Schools Superintendent (on Tuesday, November 23, 2004) to investigate allegations that a Marion, Michigan high school administrator had become drunk at a local bar and had sexually harassed a bar employee.
Immediately upon receiving this threat, the Downings called the Marion superintendent’s office. The secretary stated that the superintendent was unavailable, as he was still at the high school principal’s office.
The voice of the recorded threat has been identified to be that of a high school basketball coach. That same coach had been at the home of the Downings in the weeks prior, threatening both Scott Downing’s family and that of Tim Michell. This threatener had stated that he would “take care of the Michells.”
Despite hearing the recorded threats, Marion’s superintendent neither reported back to the threatened families, nor disciplined a single employee.
Marion Public School administrative contracts call for the immediate firing of any administrator who is insubordinate, incompetent, or immoral. Looks like someone may have just completed a termination hat trick.
I will continue to press for the investigation, arrest and conviction of all persons involved in conveying and covering up these threats. |
